36 hours in the making
Our pizza dough is made fresh daily and rises for 36 hours. Then it's topped with your favorite fresh ingredients, imported by us directly from Italy.
Just like in Nonna's kitchen
Chewy spaghetti cooked al dente. Flat fettucine made fresh daily. Our pastas are different from other restaurants: made with 10 eggs per kilo of flour. That's 2 more eggs than the other guys. That's the italian way.
Our sit down restaurant
In Italy, people gather at osterias to meet with friends over classic Italian food, wine, and coffee. You can hear the laughter and conversation before you arrive, and smell the simmering pasta sauces from the street. We bring that tradition to Oslo with our friendly staff who will make you feel like family while you eat homemade pasta carbonara, pizza margherita, and other italian favorites. Relax, and stay awhile!
A Quick Bite on the Go
Street food is a huge part of Italian culture, but it's so much more than just a slice of pizza. Porchetta sandwiches with tender, slow roasted meat, and bite-size fried arancini rice balls are just a few of the Italian traditions that are easy to eat on the run. Come see a new side of Italian food culture and make it back to your desk in time for your afternoon meeting.
BASED ON TRADITION
From Bologna to Oslo
When you open the door to Mamma Pizza you'll hear the staff saying "Ciao, buongiorno!" And you'll instantly know this isn't just another Italian restaurant. This is Italians doing what they do best: cooking!
The Zanini brothers came to Norway in 2013 to introduce Oslo to true Italian cooking. Now they have a busy restaurant and fans all over the world! Come see for yourself.
Italian made, from Bologna
Everyone knows that gelato is ice cream's thicker, creamier cousin. But only Mamma Pizza knows gelato like you'd find in the shops of Italy. Check out our in store gelato cart with fresh flavors like pistachio, stracchiatella, and limited time gelatos that change with the seasons. All made in Bologna, served in Oslo.
